Robert Pickering loves to explore the dark and thrilling aspects of human nature. He has written a number of books, primarily in in the Horror and Action Adventure genre. His Swamp Gothic anthology features short stories including ghosts, demons and legendary swamp creatures. His action adventure novels, co-written with Roy McArdle, include gripping military operations, spy-craft and tales of complex individuals engaged in combat with both real enemies and their own personal demons.

He is also an aficionado of early jazz music, hosting the YouTube channel It's a Jazz Life - with Robert Pickering which explores the history of early jazz music, particularly in the area of European jazz, featuring never before seen pictures and other memorabilia passed down from his uncle Ben Pickering who played with a number of famous acts, including Marek Weber, Buddy Rogers and Tommy Dorsey.

 

Robert lives in North Carolina with his wife and two dogs, where he enjoys music, woodworking and painting.
